It also contains proteins, minerals and vitamins that help to strengthen the hair follicles and reduce hair breakage.

Here are some great ways to make the best use of natural hair products in your haircare routine and

1. Pre-Poo:

Fewer Knots, fewer Tangles, Easy conditioning & moisture retention are some of the reasons why you need to Pre-shampoo or pre-poo for short. Pre-poo is the process of applying oil treatment to your hair before you condition or shampoo. To pre-poo, scoop a sizeable amount of your favorite oil and use it to saturate your hair. Gently work it in and give yourself a scalp massage to promote hair growth. Put on a shower cap for about 15 to 20 minutes before you wash your hair.

2. Cleanse:

Proper cleansing is an important part of your hair care routine as it helps to rid your scalp of dandruff or dirt and allows for hair growth. However curly hair tends to be dry since the oil doesn't spread through the strands as easily. This means you have to be careful and not over wash your hair. Washing your hair too often strips your curls of the valuable moisture that it needs. This makes your hair strands coarse and difficult to style or manipulate. Experts advise that males with natural curly afro’s wash their hair once a week or every other week. Cleanse your hair gently to prevent over stripping natural oils and prevent tangles by applying co-wash shampoo to your scalp and then using your fingers to spread evenly or run it through your hair strands.

3. Deep Condition:

Believe me when I say that deep conditioning is good for your curls, especially after washing your hair with Shampoo. Curly hair tends to tangle a lot - especially when it grows to a certain length. Detangling helps to rid your hair of tangles that can result in knots, and eventually, breakage. Deep conditioners contain nutrients that help to hydrate your hair, which makes it easy to detangle and moisturize. As a curly-haired man or woman, natural butter and oils should be your best friends when it's time to detangle. Coconut butter Olive oil and Shea butter are incredible choices when the time comes for you to battle any knot or tangle that occurs.
