Tri a Ting!

Tri a Ting!

So, you've been thinking about trying a triathlon, huh? Well, buckle up (or should I say, lace up those running shoes) because it's going to be a wild ride! Triathlons are a great way to challenge yourself, push your limits, and have a ton of fun in the process.

What does it take to train for a triathlon?

Training for a triathlon requires a good balance of swimming, cycling, and running. You'll need to work on your endurance, strength, and speed to tackle all three disciplines. But don't worry, even if you're a beginner, there are plenty of resources and training plans out there to help you get started.

We supported the  Brigton Triathalon again this year run by BTT last week! They're an support you from learning to swim to crossing the finish line at a tri. This event is called Tri a Ting and we had a great time getting to know all the athletes on the day (yes you are an athlete).

We showcased out haircare products on the day from swim shampoos to quick fixes and we've put a list together of the haircare needs you'll face when you tri a ting:

What about haircare needs?

Now, let's talk about the important stuff - haircare! When you're swimming, cycling, and running, your hair goes through a lot. Chlorine from the pool, sweat from the bike, and wind from the run can all take a toll on your locks. Make sure to use a good shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair healthy and strong.

For swimming, consider using a swim cap to protect your hair from the harsh chemicals in the pool. After swimming, rinse your hair with fresh water to remove any chlorine residue. When cycling, tie your hair back to keep it out of your face and prevent tangles. And when running, opt for a sweat-wicking headband to keep the sweat out of your eyes.

So, there you have it - a beginner's guide to triathlons and haircare needs. Remember, the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the journey. Who knows, you might just discover a new passion for swimming, cycling, and running!
