5 Questions with Levi Michael, Model and trainer at KO8 Fitness – Post-workout hair routine.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself. How often do you train or workout?

My name is Levi and I’m a fashion model based in Dubai but originally from Liverpool! I train a lot there’s no specific number as it’s not your typical gym sessions. I do Muay Thai so that’s 4 times a week, I play football which is 3 or 4 times a week and then I do my strength training which is 3 times a week, so some days are jam packed!

2. Why is a healthy lifestyle important to you?

A healthy lifestyle is important to me for a few reasons, firstly health is wealth! If you look after your body it will look after you but also as I’m a model it’s pretty much my job to be in good shape.

3. Haircare can be tough for people who lead active lifestyles. Tell us about your #Hairgame routine. What issues do you have with it?

Okay so yes it can be pretty stressful at times my hair doesn’t know what to do in the middle of sparring or a football game. But I use shampoos with no parabens or sulfates and treat it every so often with some coconut oil!

4. What do you do to your hair before and after training/workout?

Before I train I don’t do much if I’m in the gym because I usually wear a hooded jumper and some headphones, but before Muay Thai for example I’ll let it run free because it’s the last thing on my mind when I’m getting punched in the face. Afterwards I’ll immediately shower and wash my hair and let it air dry.

5. We know that there are a lot of hair products on shelves right now. What’s the most important product on your shelf? And if you could have a dream hair product what would it do?

This is a tough one but I would have to say my most important product is Cantu coconut curling cream because it leaves my curls with a nice finish, but I can’t neglect my Cantu shampoo and conditioner too because that’s where it starts.

My dream product would be an all in one shampoo and conditioner that would mould my curls exactly how I want them to be.

Some Quick-Fire Questions:

What’s your curl pattern?

My curl pattern is Type 3

Curls love them or hate them?

I love my curls they make me who I am for sure!

#fadegame: high, mid, low or no fade?

I get a little taper nice and low

Comb, brush or finger detangling?

I never use a comb or brush it’s straight hands on detangling for me

If you had to choose one, would it be a shampoo or conditioner?

I would have to say shampoo because I can’t be having dirty/oily hair

Washday: everyday, weekly, once a month?

I wash my hair 3 times a week, maybe a couple more times if it’s really dirty after football

Hair masks or hair treatments?

BOTH

Natural ingredients or synthetic?

Of course it has to be natural ingredients
